3rd Graders Being 3rd Graders

Being in the classroom is a completely different environment then being in the classroom-studying about the classroom. It’s so different to go from the student to the mentee. All I have know is being the student, I’m the one who sits in the classroom allowing my brain to soak up all the material that’s being placed in front of me, and now it’s a turn of events, I’m going to be the one in front of the classroom dishing out all the information to the students who can soak it up with their eager brains. Being in the class room was nerve racking at first, but I was happy to see that I had been placed with a teacher that I would want to be just like. She has a way with the students in which they know who to trust and talk to when needed, but they also know when to not cross that line. She’s caring and loving and often calls her third grade students honey or sweetheart, but she’s also strict and demands the rules are followed. She does it in a way that no student feels left out and she doesn’t favor any student over the other. They are all treated equal which I find to be the most difficult. When they break the rules she asks them what they could have done to prevent what had happened, even discipline is a learning process. She is the type of teacher that I aspire to be like.

  1. I just cannot read this blog. The purple is too dark for the black background!
